We all forget things as we age, but that doesn’t mean we have dementia. Dementia isn’t just one condition - it’s a term that refers to symptoms that cause a decline in mental ability that interferes with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia and accounts for 60 to 80 percent of cases. Vascular dementia is the second most common dementia type and occurs after a stroke. Memory loss that worsens over time can be another type of dementia.  Pour plus d'informations et les services locaux des psychiatres locaux à Montréal et à Québec PQ, contactez votre psychiatre local

I suggest you read the reviews carefully. My experience was not positive and it is very concerning for our medical system.

Please read this before going this doctor. I went to see Dr. Ginter about some anxiety I was experiencing. I was smoking pot at the time and I thought that this might have been the cause as I had never experienced anxiety before smoking pot but I want to get help from a doctor. I was going to school full time, playing college soccer, and functioning pretty normally beside some mild anxiety. I told him the situation and he then prescribed me several medications. These medications ruined my life beyond anything that I can even describe. I have spend 5 years experiencing severe anxiety, disorientation, depression, and impulsive behaviour that I have never experienced in my life before taking these medication. I would try to come off the medication and I would experience severe withdrawal that made it impossible to continue. At the beginning I didn't know that I was experiencing withdrawal as Dr. Ginter did not inform me that this was a possibility and I just thought that I was losing my mind. I eventually found out that what I was experiencing was withdrawal symptoms so I decided to jut tough it out and get off these medication. I spend 2 years in protracted drug withdrawal and it was the worst 2 years of my life. I was not able to function, I had to drop to of school, I could not play soccer, and I basically wanted to kill myself every single day. After the withdrawal stopping I started feeling normal again and have been working on getting my life back together. Every single day I think about all the time I have lost due to the horrific medication this doctor prescribed me. This mental health system in insane and the drug they use do not cure mental illness, THEY CAUSE IT. I am living proof of that, this drug made me experience mental health symptoms that I have never experienced in my life and once the drugs were gone and I was out of the prolonged drug withdrawal, I returned to my normal self. Dr. Ginter you should be ashamed of your self. You are an egotistical narcissist and you should be thrown in prison for what you have done to people.

There is something off about this Doc. He seems insincere and unhappy. I felt even heavier and more sad after a visit with him. Seems like he needs help more than I do. I will not go back to him.

Had my son held indefinitely in Case house, stopped meds, he became very manic. Dr. refused to listen to our concerns son went into ventricular tachycardia was so very manic. Ended hospital at the RA ten months to get him better. Casa may work for teens with behavioural disorders but now mental illness. Food is awful, and workers ill trained.

He was wonderful. Listened, helped me through a very rough time in my life! I've seen a lot of people over the years, he's the only one who helped and it wasn't by pushing meds onto me.
