Video Title: Risk and Control of Obesity-Registered Dietitian
Duration: 55 seconds

Recent reports indicate that two out of three adults are overweight or obese.

Being overweight or obese increases your risk of diabetes, cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome. Three quick-start tips to help the weight loss process would be, first of all, stop drinking your calories. Limit your juice, your pop, sport and energy drinks, and specialty coffee beverages.

Number two, try to include fat and protein at each of your meals and snacks. This is going to help you feel full faster and stay satisfied longer.

And three, increase your fruits and the variety of vegetables in your diet. Having your plate full, at least half, of vegetables is going to increase that nutrient density and again, start that weight loss process.

If people have more questions or would like more tips on how to start the weight loss process, they should speak to their local dietitian or local medical professional for help.
