After a patient's diagnostic screening, a written report will be created by one of our fellowship-trained radiologists within one business day.

You can expect state-of-the-art equipment at Canada Diagnostic Centres. Our MRI, CT and Ultrasound equipment provides very specialized diagnostic imaging that can help physicians diagnose a number of medical problems, including various types of cancers, cardiovascular disease, infectious diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, and problems resulting from injury.
Vancouver MRI Scans
MRI scans use a combination of a powerful magnet, radio waves and a computer in order to produce detailed images of both bony structures and soft tissue in the body such as the brain, head, joints, spine, abdomen, blood vessels (angiography), breasts and reproductive organs. MRI scans do not use any radiation during the diagnostic imaging process.
Vancouver CT Scans
Computed Tomography (CT )— sometimes called a CT scan or CAT scan — uses specialized X-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the inside of the body. A computer joins these together. CT scans are used for many different types of screening: to detect coronary artery disease, lung cancer, colon cancer (virtual colonoscopy) and gall and kidney stones.. A CT scan can also detect certain bone problems such as osteoarthritis and fractures, tumours and organ problems, while providing much greater clarity than conventional X-ray examinations.
Vancouver Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging is a diagnostic procedure that produces pictures of the inside of a patient's body using high-frequency sound waves. Ultrasound images are always captured in real-time, so they will show the structure and movement of the internal organs, and blood flowing through blood vessels. Doppler ultrasound is a special ultrasound technique that uses a computer to evaluate blood as it flows through a blood vessel. It can be used to detect problems in the major arteries and veins in the abdomen, arms, legs, and neck.
Each type of diagnostic imaging scan and screening exam has both strengths and weaknesses. The best type of screening exam for you depends on various factors, including your past medical history, disease symptoms and results of previous medical exams. All patient exam requests are reviewed by our team of radiologists before they are booked, so we can ensure that our patients get the right exam for the right reasons.
