Dr. Sahjpaul earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto and completed a two-year internship at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He then pursued his neurosurgical training at the University of Western Ontario, where he also completed a one-year fellowship in Epilepsy Surgery. During his time at Western Ontario, he furthered his academic pursuits and obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology. From 1996 to 2001, Dr. Sahjpaul served as a staff neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at London Health Sciences Centre, University of Western Ontario. During this period, he honed his expertise in clinical research and made significant contributions to the field of neurosurgery. Dr. Sahjpaul's commitment to expanding his knowledge and skills led him to pursue additional training in Complex Spine Surgery and Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery at the University of Tennessee in 1999. Subsequently, he joined the Vancouver General Hospital Combined Neurosurgical and Orthopaedic Spine Program, where he continues to make a significant impact in the field of neurosurgery. Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Sahjpaul is actively involved in clinical research and is an associate member of ICORD (International Collaboration on Repair Discoveries).
